Hauyne is near to impossible to find anymore, as it was already a rare stone and the main source, a mine in Germany, has been closed. I was lucky to find a small parcel from a French geomologist. Hauyne forms very small crystals, so faceted material is usually quite small. Even a half carat gem is considered large for Hauyne.
Top color Hauyne is the neon "Jedi" blue that is rare in any gemstone, and is sought after in Cobalt Spinel and the rare Sapphire, where the color commands many thousands per carat.
Offering pairs of rounds, and two ovals.
Both ovals have very good neon blue color that is amazing in sunlight! See photos. One has excellent saturation, however it is included. The other has medium saturation, and it is clean.
Measure 4.1 x 3.1mm. Each is around .15cts. Darker one is $180, lighter one is $150, will do price reduction if you buy both.
(*Note: the only comparable stones I could find online are at rarestone.com...these size ovals range from $384-655 per stone!)
Great cutting and sparkle. Medium saturation, the larger ones are the most saturated. For sale as pairs. Info on each, from largest to smallest:
- 2.6 & 2.5mm pair, .11 tcw, $110/pair
- 2.4 & 2.4mm pair, .10 tcw, $100/pair
- 2.3 & 2.1mm pair, .07 tcw, $70/pair
