This is a strangely beautiful little Umba sapphire, unheated and AGL certified as such.
AGL was a bit cruel calling it “brownish pink”, but then they wanted to make a point that it is not a padparadscha. To me it looks beautifully peachy, and it is a very sparkly little gem. The typical Umba inclusions are very visible in the pictures, but it faces up eye clean at arm’s length.
Well cut (US cutting), despite the strange odd-pear outline designed to cut around the inclusions. Beautiful crisp facets, all brilliant cut crown and pavilion, excellent polish, no window whatsoever.

Weight: 1.84 ct
Dimensions: 7.33 x 6.62 x 4.92 mm
Origin: Umba, Tanzania
Treatment: none
Report: AGL gem brief
Would be perfect in a simple stacking ring (rose gold?!), or in a bezel pendant with a little diamond on top. I would be happy to help with that, if desired.
This gem comes with my usual 7 day return period. Because of the very low price (and Paypal not refunding fees anymore), however, I do not encourage orders “just to have a look and compare” for this one. I hope you gals understand :)
Delivery is with complimentary Fedex express saver or USPS priority mail (your choice). Payment through regular Paypal (no F&F).
