The diamonds are .01 carat each for a total of .15 carats all around.  They are H color, SI1 grade.  They are beaded into the halo with handcrafted millgrain all around (so applied with a millgrain tool by hand, not cast). Mother's day Sale! $1200 1770 to 1780 Georgian natural, unheated ruby ring with silver top and rose cut diamonds. I bought this from my friend @ladycessalove who is an expert on Georgian jewelry. I have been it's caretaker for several months and have kept it in amazing condition. The first four pics are mine and the last few are hers. This is what Allison had to say about this beauty: The deeply chased band is my favorite part of this ring and this type of chasing is indicative of the late 18th century, as well as the portrait style bezel. A lot of cameos in the 1770s/80s have this style of bezel.The ruby is 4.6 mm x 6.7 mm. There is minor discoloration at the bottom of the stone from the foiling having slightly deteriorated from age and moisture. That is very common with antique foiled Georgian pieces. I don’t think it detracts, though, from the overall vibrancy of the pinkish ruby. Mothers day sale!!!1893 Victorian Garnet Heart Ring $680USD now 560! Rosy 9K gold and a glowing beautifully faceted heart shaped garnet. Original hallmarks for Birmingham, England and 1893 - 1894 The garnet has a rich deep pinky red color and measures approximately 8.4 x 7.8 mm within its open backed bezel setting. There is superficial wear to the top and underside of the gem mostly seen with magnification. The bezel also shows some expected wear, though it's still holding the garnet securely. The culet of the garnet protrudes from the back of the bezel; measuring from the culet to the table of the garnet, the rise is approximately 4.25 mm. Band is 2.23 mm wide. Inside, the hallmarks read: "RP" is the worn maker's mark, "9" and "375" are the marks indicating the pureness of the gold, the sideways anchor is for the Birmingham assay office, and the "t" is the date mark for 1893 - 1894. Currently a size 5.75 Garnet is the birthstone for January. This would make a lovely mother's gift! No big inclusions ot scratches - those are reflections in last pic. Sowmya33 at gmail.com
