While called a Circular Brilliant by the standards set forth by GIA it would commonly be called a Old European Cut or a Transitional Cut within the trade. It features a open culet and smaller table compared to modern round diamonds. We personally find antique diamonds to have a charm and unique beauty that modern diamonds lack and love the larger flash type of sparkle that this cut is known for.
