Most antique diamonds are not white due to the material that was being mined throughout the 1800s to early 1900s which produced warmer colors falling in the J,K,L,M range. Of the small percentage of white diamonds mined at the time, many of the larger heirloom diamonds were recut into the modern style to better reflect the taste of the fashion forward bride, further reducing the numbers of whiter antique diamonds. The bright white F color combined with excellent eye clean SI1 clarity makes this diamond an absolute winner in our opinion.
