This stone was originally purchased from Simply Sapphires, and they said it was a "Cobalt Spinel".

This stone exhibits some half and half extinction from the elongated shape, and just out of curiosity, I sent some pictures to Barry Bridgestock asking about a recut, and he said that I should enjoy it the way it is, blue spinels of this size are getting harder and harder to find.

I have a ton of pictures of this spinel, as it is one of my favorites. I am also able to take more, as this stone has many different looks. I cannot quite capture the purple color accurately.
